Celebrating more than 25 years, the Newmarket Farmers Market received the Award of Excellence from Farmer’s Markets of Ontario in 2024!
Every Saturday Morning from the first weekend in May to the last weekend in October, a band of farmers, vendors and volunteers create a hive of activity reminiscent of the town’s early years as a new market. With over 40 local farmers and local businesses, the market is a place to buy farm fresh produce, home-made baking, hand-made crafts and a great place to meet up with friends over breakfast or lunch.

The spring sale features a wide selection of unique functional, decorative and sculptural pieces, including some Raku-fired works. Guild members are in attendance to answer your questions. Look for the “Charity Table” filled with pieces donated by our members. 100% of the proceeds from their sale are donated to the charities supported by our Empty Bowls event.

The Newmarket Group of Artists and the Town of Newmarket are partnering again to present the third annual outdoor Night Market event. Not only is this event an art show and sale but a celebration of the arts with live music, food and beverage. Enjoy an evening in downtown Newmarket and discover art that speaks to you while celebrating with Newmarket’s artists.

DESCRIPTION
The festivities begin on Friday night at Riverwalk Commons with live performances from 15 + Ontario-based emerging queer and allied artists, as well as a marketplace with vendors and artisans.
Pride at Riverwalk is on both days, and features live performances from 30+ Ontario-based emerging queer artists and allies. Unique food moments and hand-pick craft vendors to shop from, including 25+ community organization to connect with.
The Pride Parade is showcases of the beauty and strength in pride and self-expression, and shows what community truly looks like. The parade begins at 6PM on Saturday at Queen and Main and ends at Water Street.
