Ice Lounge on Main is back for a third amazing year. Newmarket’s historic Main Street, will become a pedestrian zone from Water Street to Park Avenue, Main Street will become a pedestrian zone, where visitors are invited to enjoy:
Food & Beverages: Swing by one of the outdoor bars along Main Street or enjoy a drink from one of Main Street’s incredible restaurants and take it along as you explore the buzz of the street.
Family Fun: Get ready for an action-packed experience! Marvel at live busker performances, zoom down the Snow Valley Mini Tube Slide, or challenge your friends in our games zone! Plus, enjoy complimentary marshmallow roasting, maple taffy on snow, and more (while supplies last)!
Live Music: Feel the beat all day and night with amazing live music from local talent!
Cozy Lounge Areas: Fire tables line the street, while geodomes provide comfortable spaces to relax, gather, and enjoy the winter atmosphere.
Shop, Dine & Win: Support local and discover the best of Main Street’s boutique shops and services! Earn rewards for dining and shopping during the event and the chance to win some incredible prizes!
Spend $50 on products or services at downtown businesses and earn a $25 Choose Local gift card (while supplies last; first 100 participants per day). Save your receipts and visit the Choose Local booth during the event (Feb 20 – 22) to enter. Plus, when you shop or dine downtown you’ll earn a chance to win exciting prizes.

Celebrating more than 25 years, the Newmarket Farmers Market received the Award of Excellence from Farmer’s Markets of Ontario in 2024!
Every Saturday Morning from the first weekend in May to the last weekend in October, a band of farmers, vendors and volunteers create a hive of activity reminiscent of the town’s early years as a new market. With over 40 local farmers and local businesses, the market is a place to buy farm fresh produce, home-made baking, hand-made crafts and a great place to meet up with friends over breakfast or lunch.
